Great weather, stunning and varied terrain, convenient location....as outdoor lovers, we have chosen to live in the Aravis region of the French Alps for a reason! With such a wide range of outdoor adventure activities possible right from our doorstep, and an ideal climate - long, hot, dry summers, crisp autumns and snowy winters - this really is a perfect location for an active holiday or short break adventure weekend.
The rugged mountain peaks and rolling green valleys hold something for all interests and levels of ability, from serious walkers, bikers and climbers looking to push themselves to the limits to thrill seekers looking to experience something new - canyoning, via ferrata or downhill scooters perhaps; and to those simply wanting to immerse themselves in the scenic beauty of one of the most picturesque regions of the French Alps.
There is an enormous variety of activities within a very short area. You may be trying your hand at climbing in the morning, and within half an hour you 
can be kayaking on or swimming in the cleanest lake in Europe (Lake Annecy). With such a wide variety of outdoor activities available, there is sure to be something here to suit your whole group for the weekend.
As well as being an adventure activity playground, the Haute Savoie has maintained its traditional charms which really adds to the outdoor holiday experience. Cheese making is still the major industry here, and they say cows (complete with cow bells) out number humans in the Grand Bornand valley! Dotted through the valleys you will be exploring are many quaint farming hamlets and traditional villages, where we will introduce you to some great mountain restaurants which make the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view before the next activity.
The location of our chalet in St Jean de Sixt is also ideal - this is one of the closest destinations for French alpine activity holidays near Geneva and Annecy, so while you may feel totally immersed in the mountains, you can very quickly get here and away, ideal for short action weekends!
